FitBit Band Retainers for Flex & Charge

FitBit Band Retainers for Flex & Charge

thingiverse

My cousin and I were frustrated with FitBit bands coming loose (she even lost one flex) due to poor design. These slide-over retainers are designed to keep the original clasp from loosening up (they're not replacements for the original, but must be used in conjunction with it). I take no responsibility for any loss or damage to your device; I'm just providing these as an added layer of protection. Since I made only one size for the Charge and it works perfectly, I might create two sizes for the Fitbit Flex - a very tight one (though harder to put on) and a slightly larger one that's easier to slip onto. My cousin wanted the tighter fit since she fears losing another FitBit. I recommend lightly sanding or dipping in acetone (if printed in ABS) to smooth out the surface, preventing irritation. I dipped mine in acetone for just one second and hung it from a string overnight; now they feel nice and smooth on my skin. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .20 or .25 Infill: 100% Notes: If your prints won't stick, try adding a brim to help them adhere better. Post-Printing: For ABS prints, dip the surface in acetone for only one second and let it hang from a string overnight.
