Caution: Work-in-Progress. I don't recommend to print this part! It is just a waste of filament! Better build the metal version pointed out below in the update from May 2020. I made a proof-of-concept replacement part for a Fiskars weed removal tool. The lower part was broken and I replaced it with a 3D-print. But unfortunately it cracked after only a few applications. Maybe printing it with ABS would have better strength (than the PETG I took in my case). Possibly also my setting of 0.4 layer height was not the optimum choice for strength. I provide the source file such that you can adapt when necessary. The holes for the screws that you see in the picture have been drilled into the design. The should be added properly. What I did so far: - pressed out the original pins from the broken original part - pressed in those parts into printed replacement part (then I already noted a crack that's why i drilled the holes for the reinforcement screws in) - used the part a few times until i noticed a crack. Update 14th of May 2020. I have now changed the concept and made the part out of four steel angles. This seems to be much more robust and it is easy to make. You only need a proper drilling machine. I took four 90 degree metal angles, eight M5 screws for the connection of the four angles, four M6 screws for the fixation of the moving parts. The M6 screws are shafted ones to ensure a proper bearing surface. They had longer shafts than needed and have been threaded to fit properly. I've grinded away a bit from the angles with an angular grinder (see pictures) to allow for a smooth movement of the two upper moving parts. The bores have been directly derived from the scad model I made. See attached sketches for the drilling positions of the angles. H means the height of the bore. The metal version seems to work reasonably well. The only drawback is that the original ejector doesn't fit anymore. But I'm working on a solution for that.
