Fiskars "Power-Stroke" Saw Bracket Replacement
thingiverse
This part serves as a replacement for the Fiskars "Power-Stroke" pruning stick saw bracket. Notably, Fiskars offers its own replacement part for around $10 with shipping costs included. https://www.fiskars.com/en-us/gardening-and-yard-care/products/tree-pruners/pruning-stik-replacement-saw-bracket-71007379 The original component is crafted from Glass-Reinforced-Plastic (GRP), which exhibits considerable durability. Nonetheless, I encountered a situation where it snapped while becoming entangled in Bittersweet vines. Observing the design featured on the provided link reveals that the saw blade base extends significantly beyond the pole clamp, creating an effective lever arm to facilitate breakage. However, FDM printed plastics are not capable of withstanding this challenge as I quickly discovered. In response, I have modified the design to minimize the likelihood of breakage without compromising its functionality. I strongly advise utilizing the strongest material available, at a minimum PETG or PC, as I opted for ePA-CF (nylon infused with carbon fiber) in my case.
