I've got a massive 75-gallon fish tank that's just begging for some serious cleaning, and the standard issue gravel vacuum falls way short of reaching the bottom. That's when I stumbled upon a genius solution - simply stack one or more of those large 50mm tubes on top of each other to create an extension that'll get into all the nooks and crannies. The fit is incredibly snug, but don't worry if it doesn't quite line up perfectly - in my case, I needed to make a teensy-weensy adjustment of just 1% to get it just right.
