Fishing rod REEL - MOULINET de canne a peche

myminifactory

I started designing a reel for trout fishing using the technique called "pêche aux appats naturels" or "pêche au toc". This method involves using a simple line reservoir, where the line has to be really thin (0.20mm and less). To prevent the line from coming out of the reel, I added red chenille yarn like on old French reels. Here's a link to a French company that makes reels for trout fishing: http://www.peerless-bam.fr/moulinets_de_riviere/page_ritma72d.htm. I'm not finished with the design yet, but I'd love some help from you to finish it and improve it. The part where I'm stuck is the system for stopping the reel from spinning. I need a simple system with two positions: one that allows free movement in both directions (for adjusting the line length before sending it out) and another that blocks the reel in one direction but not the other (to catch trout close to me). I also need to add a hole for the wire to exit the reel. Sorry about my bad English, and I hope you'll enjoy my reel!
