Fishing Rod Holder for EMT conduit

Fishing Rod Holder for EMT conduit

thingiverse

This is a reworked version of a widely known fishing rod holder like a Scotty style rod holder. This revised design will clamp onto standard EMT conduit that measures 3/4" in diameter. The interior dimensions are specifically designed to accommodate PVC pipes with a diameter of 41.8 mm or 1.6 inches. To secure the PVC pipe, I recommend using PVC glue or CA glue, as they work well and are faster than printing long tubes on the printer. The bolt recesses are carefully modeled for 12.6 mm bolt heads with a 7.75 mm shaft and a 1/2" hex head. These specifications should match the standard 5/16 bolts commonly found in stores, which I typically purchase in lengths of 69 mm or 2 3/4 inches. The base utilizes standard cylinder hex head M3 bolts, approximately 50-55mm long, to securely fit over the EMT conduit. When printing, ensure that the U clips are positioned to fit snugly over 3/4" OD conduit. Printing with the hole facing down and supports inside the tube is recommended. Although I haven't worked on this project for a while, I am about 75% confident that the files I'm uploading now are my latest iteration. If you encounter any fitting issues, please let me know as I've switched computers since starting this project.
