My nylon belt was 38mm in width. The belt gap opening is 43mm. The octagonal shape will allow you to print this flat with minimal support. Printed in this flat orientation I only used supports for upper lip of the mouth opening. And since the layers are laid down against sheering forces it won't snap in half easily..
