Fishing ring/Cuban yoyo

Fishing ring/Cuban yoyo

I crafted a Cuban yoyo, a fishing ring that's my first design - check out the web to learn how to use it. After putting it to the test, I noticed some improvements that could be made. It's tough to hold onto, so I'll add a lip on the inside to make it easier to grip. The smaller side of the ring should allow the line to cascade off relatively smoothly. However, my design is too vertical, so I'll make it less angular. Because 3D printing creates a textured surface, I'll likely sand down the inside where the line is held or apply ABS slurry to smooth it out - this will help the line leave the ring faster. It's in two parts and was printed with the thin, cut point facing up while the larger part was on the bed. The parts were then superglued together and seem to be holding well.
