Fishing Planer boards for trolling

This is a great planer board that works well for trolling.  I use them in a small 12' fishing boat and I can run 4 poles. I have tested these quite a bit.  I strongly suggest a raft because of the knife edge that will curl from the heat.You will need 3 easy to find parts to finish the build. Bicycle spokePiece of rubber (bike innertube)Pen spring (spring from a retractable pen)Optional you can add weight in the cut out.  Pennies fit and stick on wheel weights can be used to tune the boardFollow the pictures or here are some assembly suggestionsI suggest the assembly in this order. Cut a piece of spoke 2.5" Insert the spoke and add the spring and the spring keeper that was printed with the boardTap the spoke through the keeper. It will be tight. Make sure the spoke goes all the way through the keeper and past the slot.  But do not hit it so hard that it goes past the bottom of the hole. You can use some needle nose pliers to hold the keeper up and create a gap between the keeper and the board. This helps ensure the the line wont work past the spoke. Next put a key in the slot and hold the spoke up. Now you can tap on the knob. Cut a piece of thin rubber and fold it so you will have a piece glued to each side of the clip. You need this to pinch and hold the line. I use gorrilla glue and glue the rubber in place.  I leave enough rubber to trim it to how I like. Please contact me with any questions.                                                                                      EDIT:I caught a mistake in the model and I fixed it.  There was a small artifact in the release that should not affect the function of the original.
