Fishing Lure Spotted in Ancient Cemetery, Experts Say. This remarkable artifact, a fishing lure with hook, boasts a distinctive drop shape and three conical holes of varying sizes. The largest hole is precisely designed to accommodate the hook, while two smaller sub-round holes are tailored for secure line attachment. A bear claw, worn smooth by light polishing, served as an improvised hook in a previous life. Measuring 100x25x7 mm in size, this ancient lure was unearthed in Transbaikalia's Neolithic era. It is believed to have originated from the Bukhusan cemetery site. Currently, it resides at The museum of Buryat History under inventory number 10600.
