Fishing line spooler
thingiverse
I'm designing a line spooler system specifically for fishing poles, utilizing a clever mechanical design. The key components include a 5/16 carriage bolt, measuring six inches long, which serves as the foundation of the system. This bolt is complemented by two 1/4 carriage bolts, each two inches in length, that are strategically positioned to provide stability and support. The design features precisely drilled holes that securely accommodate the square collar of the carriage bolts, ensuring a snug fit and preventing any potential movement or slippage. To maintain optimal tension on the fishing line, I recommend incorporating springs, washers, and wing nuts onto the shafts. This ingenious setup prevents the line from spooling freely, thereby minimizing the risk of tangling or knotting. For those interested in creating their own version, I can attest that printing with PETG at a layer thickness of 0.3mm yields a robust and reliable result. This intricate design was created using Tinkercad, an online CAD platform. Feel free to edit and customize the design according to your needs by visiting https://www.tinkercad.com/things/4FDgS3Ty9JG.
