Fishing/Kite Reel Crank - Expanding the use of 3D printing

With the increasing popularity of 3D printing, we're able to create an array of tools, toys, gadgets, decorations, and much more on machines that are surprisingly affordable and easy to operate. I designed a reel with numerous applications in mind. You can use it for fishing from a dock or flying a kite, and there are many other potential uses - think pulley systems, for instance. This reel is simple to assemble by following just a few straightforward steps, as illustrated above. The only additional materials you'll need are super glue, which I used in conjunction with gorilla glue. You can find the super glue I recommended here: https://www.amazon.com/Krazy-Glues-Original-Super/dp/B00004OCQO. The design of this reel features a crank mechanism that will only spin when manually reeled in. If you've discovered other creative uses for this reel, please share them in the comments below. To print these parts, I relied on 3D Hubs, which offered excellent service and I would definitely use again. Since the parts required strength, I chose to print them in ABS. For optimal results, use the following print settings: * Infill: 75% or higher * Layer Height: .15mm * Speed: 50 - 80 mm/s * Supports: YES (except for handle) * Raft: NO * Retraction: Enabled * 3 Shells * 3 Top and bottom layers I thoroughly enjoyed the modeling process, and I hope this design will be of great use to anyone who uses it!
