Fish with dishwashing detergent engine
cults3d
This is my 3D printed replica of a cardboard fish from the Little Experiments for Kids book. Using cardboard material for the fish results in a short lifespan, as it will quickly absorb water and sink. To create a more durable model, I decided to print one using PLA on my Prusa i3 MK3 3D printer. I have included the Fusion360 file, allowing you to edit or even enhance the design if you wish. Simply place the fish carefully on top of the water's surface and when it starts floating, drop some dishwashing detergent into the large hole in the middle of the fish. After a few seconds, the fish will begin moving and increase its speed. You can use this as a simple experiment for kids or just for entertainment purposes.
