Fish Tank Scraper / Syphon

Fish Tank Scraper / Syphon

I have a saltwater tank with a bare (glass) bottom (no sand or gravel) and I was having problems with fish waste getting stuck to the bottom. I could dislodge it with a scraper but the disruption would cause a huge cloud of tiny particulates to launch into the water column. What I needed was a way to dislodge it and syphon the particulates at the same time. This scraper/syphon solves that issue for me. It fits onto tubing with 5/8 OD and 1/2 ID. I use part number PVC12-58ANA which comes up readily in a google search. Print them vertically in the orientation that I have in the picture(yellow printed parts). No support is needed. Sometimes the first layer of a print will flare out a bit if you have the nozzle too close to the bed. This will need to be ground off to fit into the coupling.
