Fish Tank aquarium Cucumber/vegetable hook.

I just uploaded a video too, showing our fish absolutely love this. https://youtu.be/ailZFUI3zWg This model is perfect for securing cucumber to a weight so that it stays exactly where you want it in your tank. It was created because we don't like dropping cucumber into the aquarium and letting it float, as we have many mid-tank fish that barely touch it. We'd seen several cucumber spikes and clips before, but they didn't appeal visually - sticking cucumber to the side or bottom of the tank takes away from its visual appeal. This printed model with the following directions has just the right amount of buoyancy, allowing the tank's current to make it bob and move about in the tank, greatly increasing the fish's interest in the cucumber. The print time was 26 minutes. I used PLA plastic. My extruder temperature was 195 degrees, and my bed temperature was 70. I strongly suggest using a 60% infill as this gives the piece ideal buoyancy. I also used a raft to prevent contamination on the part itself from the print bed - in the past, I've used hairspray to help large prints stick to the bed. Once the part had printed, I drilled a hole in one of our aquarium stones using a 4-blade 6mm tile bit - Todays Tools branded (https://www.todaystools.co.uk/img/products/DSP.jpg). This drill bit flew through solid pebble easily. Any object that sinks will be suitable for anchoring. I then attached the hook to the pebble with a loop of cotton and I'm very impressed with the results. All I ask is that if this model works for you, please leave a like and comment - it would really help. If you decide to upload a photo, I'd love to see your aquarium! Thanks for reading and happy printing!
