Fish Tail Point Variation. XCB-105-3179. 400 BCE-100 CE XCB-105 Adamagan, or "place of walrus hunters," is situated atop Morzhovoi Bay, western Alaska Peninsula. At its peak, this massive village supported multiple occupations and was home to approximately 1000 people during the time period spanning from 400 BCE to 100 CE. Moreover, limited occupations have been dated to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts were generated through research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner served as Principal Investigator on this project. A Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i scanner was used to capture images of the artifacts. These scans were then processed using Geomagic or Polyworks software, with 2-8 photos employed for texture in Geomagic Wrap. The initial digitizing process took place at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., while subsequent processing and publication were completed by Global Digital Heritage.
