Classic Fish Tail Point Variant. XCB-105-2860. 400 BCE-100 CE XCB-105 Adamagan, situated at Morzhovoi Bay's head on Alaska Peninsula's western coast, was a massive village with diverse occupations when it was inhabited from 400 BCE to 100 CE. At that time, it stood as the Arctic's largest village, boasting an estimated population of 1000 people. The village also features occupations dating back to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts were made possible through research grants from NSF, including NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i, then processed in Geomagic or Polyworks. A total of 2-8 photographs were used for texture enhancement in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitizing work was conducted at Id. St. Univ.'s IVL, while subsequent processing and publication took place at Global Digital Heritage.
