I'm trying to understand what a lithophane is, but I think it might be a real thing. A lithophane is an object that's transparent and has a design or image on it, but you have to hold it up to the light to see the picture. It's like a piece of glass with a drawing on it, but instead of being painted, it's made by etching into the surface of the glass.
