The Fisherking was once counted amongst the Gentry, but a cursed twist of fate befell him. His once upright frame is now contorted to the pitiable shape of a slimy, legless bass. Cloaked in tattered robes, he shrouds his altered form, while an enchanted chair grants him the blessing of moving across his land. His is the land across the river, between the yellow hills and the lake of swords, not including Miss Pottering’s clothesline.Yet, let not his frail façade beguile you! The Fisherking clasps a treasure beyond measure, none other than the Fiery Grail. This chalice bestows upon him powers of magic profound and potent, the exact nature of which remains unclear. But it is sure to be grand, fantastical and even wondrous! Alas, for all its wonderment, the Grail's magic seems unable to mend his wretched form, caught as he is in fishy manifestation. Though who's to say, being finned and scaled might carry its own peculiar allure? Who are we to cast judgment upon a king's personal tastes of form?
