Fish feeder
thingiverse
Sick and tired of feeding the fish. Introducing The Ultimate Fish Feeder. Get ready for 16 days of freedom from tedious fish feeding duties! **How it Works** This project utilizes MQTT and Node-Red, two technologies that make it surprisingly easy to automate your fish feeder. Here's how it works: each day, a Node-Red flow sends a signal to the Ultimate Fish Feeder via an MQTT topic. That's it! The feeder then springs into action, feeding your fish with ease. **Software Needed** To build this amazing project, you'll need two key pieces of software: * Node-Red * MQTT **Electronic Components Required** To bring this project to life, gather the following electronic components: * Wemos D1 mini (available on Wemos' website) * 28BYJ-48 step motor + ULN2003 module (easily sourced from Aliexpress) * USB charger * Brass insert/Insert nuts (available on Aliexpress) **Arduino Sketch** The Arduino sketch for this project is available on my Github page, so be sure to check it out and get started! **Final Note** Of course, you'll need to design your own fish tank hook - an obvious requirement. However, a potential upgrade to this project would be to create a universal or versatile hook that can work with different types of tanks. Have fun building The Ultimate Fish Feeder!
