The Fish animation for resin printers - as seen here: https://youtu.be/idemWAE6Jjo and here: https://youtu.be/LLL0tMOzxOU Designed for a 4-Mation 3D zoetrope kit - when you order a kit you get everything you need (except the animation figures!) including a 2D colour printed animation base cover with all the character positions marked out for glueing the Fish into. Order here: https://4-mation.co.uk Assembly This video https://youtu.be/FGaPKyLN7go shows animation assembly for the Frogs animation, but it's the same process, just glue the painted models into the marked positions. Use a slow setting expoxy glue (eg 1/2 hour BSI epoxy) and take the time to be sure the characters are positioned accurately in the marked outlines. Files - Lychee is universally compatible with STL export Files are Lychee format since that has the widest compatibility with resin printers today. If you need to use a different slicer, eg Formlabs Preform then you can export the files with supports from Lychee as STLs to print directly on the platform. Reprinting missing/broken Fish If you need to reprint just a few fish (eg if you broke one or two removing supports - or if painting went wrong) - in Lychee look at the object list - each fish/clamrock object is named with its index letter. So you can just hide the objects you don't want to print in that object list, and then re-slice an print. Painting Tips Take a look at the pictures... For holding Fish while painting you can glue one of the "support stalks" or pedestals to a suitable hand-holder, then put a thin strip of masking tape over the pedestal peg - and plug the fish on. The masking tape will grip the fish so that it won't fall off, don't use too much tape - if the fish doesn't go on the peg easily, it won't come off easily! For holding the Clamrocks (or perhaps "CoralClams" would be better) use a pair of tweezers with a "spreading agent" inserted in the base, so that the tweezers are sprung outwards. A support stalk works really well for this. Then pinch the tweezers closed enough to insert into a clamrock base, release, and the tweezers will hold it from the inside like a reverse clamp. For the painting the coral base of the clamrocks I use Citadel Contrast Paint. It's absolutely perfect for this, so easy it's criminal. On suitable models (like the coral) contrast paint gives you automatic shading - and on top of a white primer, automatic highlighting as well. The one in the picture was done with "Magos Purple" Support Trimming Note A couple of the fish are oriented with the peg holes almost horizontal, so they have internal mini supports. You will need to remove those before inserting a "support stalk"/Pedestal. A scalpel or thin metal rod will work for that. If using a rod, it should have a crisp flat end, and you scrape the mini supports off at the contact points.
