A compact infrared reflective sensor designed specifically for fischertechnik, based on the TCRT5000 reflective optical sensor with transistor output. I built these sensors to enhance a line-following robot project. Use an analog input pin to measure the signal from the sensor's output pin. You can also use a digital output pin to turn the infrared LED on or off. Compare two measurements taken with the LED turned on versus off to eliminate ambient light disturbances. If you don't need this feature, simply connect 5V to the LED control pin. Required parts: 4x4 perfboard PCB, 2 SMD resistors (4.7k-10k as pullup and 150 ohms) for the LED circuit.
