Older version (v3) preserved for reference (images at the end of the gallery). Enclosure for Minebea 17PM-K374BN01CN 38mm NEMA 17 stepper motor, currently sold by Pollin for less than 5 3 €. The 45x45x45mm case makes the stepper motor compatible with the fischertechnik construction toy system. It might also fit for other NEMA 17 steppers with a height of 38mm. The 3mm squared axle of this Minebea stepper allows mounting some fischertechnik parts directly with a reasonable grip (see image 5). Nevertheless, I included some adapters for the most important fischertechnik connectors (gear Z10, clip on axles, bigger gears, worm gear). Use a 3mm headless screw to attach them more permanently. Use a drop of super glue to keep both parts of the case attached permanently. Print Settings Printer Brand: Anet Printer: A8Rafts: No Supports: YesResolution: .1 / .2 mm Infill: 20 % Filament: any PLA any Notes: I recommend printing the worm gear and the bigger gear adapter with .1 mm, .2 mm is ok for everything else. The bigger gear adapter needs supports. The enclosure top also needs supports for the screw holes. However it can be a pain to remove supports from the neighboring fischertechnik grooves, which print well without supports. I recommend using Cura's new (but clumsy) feature for blocking supports to prevent this. Category: Construction Toys
