Fischer Drinkbelt Caps

Fischer Drinkbelt Caps

Warning: despite repeated attempts, leaks persist in the pipe design. The simple and tube versions remain leak-free. Curved surfaces tend to be less porous than flat horizontal ones, prompting this redesign. I recently purchased a Fischer cross country skiing drinkbelt featuring an over-engineered cap with a pipe and rubber closure. Within a year, the inner pin inside the pipe snapped, rendering the entire cap useless. I inquired about replacement parts at the shop, only to be told that spare caps aren't sold (Fischer doesn't provide them) and that buying another drinkbelt would cost around $100. Undeterred, I decided to design and 3D print a custom cap myself. Initially, I created the simple version to verify the thread specifications – it's M52x3 with a slight internal cut. Next, I designed the pipe variant, which features a rubber closure that fits snugly inside. Unfortunately, this iteration also leaked, prompting me to create the tube variant with a small cap. Despite these efforts, leaks persist, and I'm posting the Fusion360 archive for anyone willing to take on the challenge and develop a leak-free solution.
