FirstBike - seat post clamp - wedge
thingiverse
I crafted a brand new wedge that secures the seat firmly in place of FirstBike, replacing the one that had broken. I went through multiple iterations to get it just right. Nylon looks perfect now, while ABS is also good. I initially tried PETG for earlier versions but found it too fragile - cracks formed under even moderate loads. PLA performed similarly, cracking under stress as well. To assemble this wedge, you'll need an M8x40 bolt and nut, which should be the same as the originals. For optimal results, I recommend printing with at least 5 perimeter layers and top/bottom layers.
