I'm about to take my initial stab at carving out a face. The blank block of marble stares back at me, its surface smooth and unyielding. My chisel glints in the light as I raise it, poised to strike the first blow. A spark of excitement ignites within me as I contemplate bringing this lifeless mass to life with every deliberate stroke.
