Group Project to Design a Drone: A Challenging yet Rewarding Experience Our team embarked on an ambitious group project to build a drone using 3D printable parts. We opted for aluminium box section arms, which, in hindsight, were not only heavier but also stronger than necessary. Initially, we aimed to control the drone using an Arduino Mega, but unfortunately, our programmers encountered significant difficulties in getting it to work as intended. In the end, we decided to purchase a cheap $4 flight controller and stabiliser from HobbyKing, which surprisingly performed well despite the drone's excessive weight. Since my primary responsibility was managing the CAD files, I only uploaded those to the project repository. However, with the addition of four underpowered motors, ESCs, batteries, and other necessary components, our team successfully completed the project.
