Firewood Rack w/ Upper Shelf
thingiverse
I'm a fan of barbecuing and required a rack to hold some firewood as well as wood chunks on top - this upper shelf would also be perfect for kindling, etc. This rack is large enough to hold half of a rick (about a Toyota Corolla wagon full). It's made from simply 2x4's and a couple of cedar fence pickets. The design also utilizes three concrete blocks as the base to keep the wood base elevated off the ground. Its depth is just right to hold the firewood and sit flush with the bricks - 16 inches deep. I spent less than $25 making it (screws included). See more details, including how I came up with this design, at the following BBQ thread: http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184588
