FireTV Stick remote control battery cover with flat bottom
thingiverse
Why did Amazon design the FireTV remote control to have a rounded bottom? If you are lazy like me, then you don't have the time or energy to pick up the remote to use it. You just want to press a button while it is sitting on the coffee table! Well, this is the replacement battery cover for you. Simply print this out, then remove the old battery cover, and put the new cover on. Done. I can already hear your spouse or partner or roommate or ghost that haunts your basement, "Isn't it more work to download this file, then print it and attach it, than it is to just pick up the stupid remote?" And my response is, "Yes, Yes, it is."Designed using DesignSpark Mechanical from measurements of my remotes for the Fire TV Stick 4K.These 3D models are designed to fit one of two remotes:1st Generation Fire TV Stick 4K2nd Generation Fire TV Stick 4KThere is the flat bottomed version that won't rock when placed on a table, and a replacement rounded bottom version, if you just need a replacement battery cover. You can search on the wiki or other places online to identify what model you have. If you have a different model, I'm not sure if these covers will fit or not.The 2nd Gen variant has small tabs that lock the cover in. I printed with supports. You may not need to, depending on how good your printer is, but I recommend it. The 1st Gen variant doesn't need supports.
