A Personalized Solution for a Skytech Fireplace Remote Receiver Replacement. This project involved creating a custom two-box replacement for a Skytech fireplace remote receiver, tailored to fit specific requirements. The wall plate provided with the Skytech 1001TH-A kit was designed for single-box installations when mounting the receiver. However, my house's original wall switch was ganged in a two-box side-by-side configuration with a heatilator rheostat. This meant the included wall switch plate wouldn't be suitable. To overcome this challenge, I designed and created a customized wall plate that not only holds the receiver module but also covers both boxes seamlessly. The images provided showcase both the finished product and its prototype stages. To achieve a high-quality finish, the custom plate was printed face-side down.
