I designed this fireplace cover to protect my dog from chewing on the glass, so I built it using 1/8 inch Plexiglas purchased at Home Depot. The brackets and clips were created to securely hold the Plexiglas in place, with about 1/4 inch spacing all around. This design was printed with a 0 support setting, requiring some filing to clean up the piece, which didn't take too long. Additionally, the clips needed light filing to smooth them out.
