Firefly Pro Parts

Building a drone for my nephew is an absolute blast. I'm completely captivated by the firefly design, but he isn't quite mature enough to handle a full-on FPV racer just yet. And let's be honest, I don't need those ESC mounts in the arms either. So here we are! I tweaked the stock M3 arms to make them a bit stiffer and lighter (roughly 4g less per arm) with a mounting point for a 3mm LED and no ESC mount - everything else remains exactly the same. I also came up with some 6" guards that fit perfectly. There's a slight turn in the stock motor mount that throws it out of alignment with the arm, but I left it intact and made sure the guards will line up properly either way. Since most of my parts are still on their way to me, I'm not quite ready for a fully assembled test just yet - but the test fitting and alignment looks good enough to share! Update: I modified the camera mount to support a fairly common, smaller camera. I didn't leave any wiggle room, so it will need a bit of sanding to fit snugly. Update: I added the "fully assembled" pic - and yes, I skipped using the LED mounts for now. The openings fit the motor wires nicely, but might be a tad tight with the LEDs as well (could be tweaked or drilled out if needed - it's close). Flies amazingly well!
