Firefly eSk8 Receiver Box
thingiverse
This custom box was crafted to accommodate the Firefly eSk8 receiver (Arduino Nano + NRF). Further details about this project can be found here: https://www.electric-skateboard.builders/t/simple-3d-printed-nrf-remote-arduino-controlled/28543. The interior dimensions of the box measure 49mm x 20mm x 15mm. It features a cutout that is large enough for three PPM wires and your TX/RX wires to fit comfortably. The box has a smooth snap-together design with a secure friction-fit. Upon examining @solidgeek's original receiver case, I discovered that it was not deep enough to hold the Arduino Nano once a capacitor had been added to bridge the 5v and GND pins, which helps limit dropouts in the wireless connection. His design also included unnecessary holes for status LED's that I chose not to use. My custom box is specifically designed to fit @SeeTheBridges PCB, which is part of his Firefly DIY parts kits. However, I believe it should also accommodate the nano and NRF using traditional soldering methods (soldering 30AWG wires between every pin), depending on how you wire your connections. For those who want to make adjustments, I have included a Fusion 360 file for your reference.
