These lesser cousins of phoenixes are in fact not elemental spirits but creatures of flesh and blood, albeit infused by the power and magic of elemental Fire. These wise and beautiful birds are frequently used by sun elves as steeds for their knights and wizards, streaking through the skies while leaving a trail of sparks and ambers behind them, which turn into fairy dust long before touching the ground and setting the forest aflame. These majestic beings are very picky about their riders and only the greatest of champions either of might or magic can count on their service.
