It can also be used without the O'ring for other uses. There is an indented dot on the top of the insert to indicate where the opening is when removing it from the outer sheath. You will need an R32 O'ring-ID 50mm W3.5mm. I recommend a very light smear of oil or silicone grease on the O'ring for smoother operation. No supports are required. Happy printing.
