This can either be a two or single colored print. The entire model measures 78x65.5x107.5mm, featuring six different parts printed with two distinct PLA filaments. Tight tolerances between mating components ensure seamless assembly, requiring only light force from a rubber mallet to secure them. A threaded bottom cap allows for effortless replacement of dog bag rolls. Designed with functionality in mind, the top and bottom caps feature spikes that securely hold dog bag rolls. However, this design element poses a challenge when printing the top cap due to the numerous supports required. In my final print, I opted to include the spike on the bottom cap while omitting it from the top cap. Feel free to experiment with different approaches to find what works best for you. To achieve a two-colored print, start by printing hydrantCanister_SpoutHoles.stl and hydrantBottomCap.stl (either spike or no spike) in red. Next, print hydrantTopCap.stl (either spike or no spike), hydrantSpout2.stl, and two hydrantSpout1.stl models in white. For a single-colored print, begin by printing hydrantCanister_oneColor.stl, hydrantBottomCap.stl, and hydrantTopCap.stl (either spike or no spike) in your preferred color.
