This is a flint holder specially designed for the Sissipuukko M95 made by Fiskars in Finland. The Sissipuukko M95 is a bad ass Finnish army knife and the name translates into "Guerrilla knife". This mount holds a 1/2" x 5" Ferrocerium "Flint" steel rod securely in place on the front of the plastic sheath, without any modifications to the sheath.

Besides for the flint holder, I've also included a small cap for the flint rod. This makes the rod easier to hold on to when striking.

Feel free to post you prints!

Post-Printing

The only thing that is needed to do is to trim the locking flaps a bit (<1mm) with a knife, for that perfect snap-in feeling. The mounting on the knife is done by a small M4 screw at the bottom and a cable tie at the top. While the fire flint cap is just fixed with some glue.

How I Designed This

Thins is my original design and is made to be extra strong and printer friendly with no difficult bridges or steep slopes. I also posted the Rhino .3dm files, which allows you modify the holder for other purposes.
