Fire Extinguisher Hanger

A small (tank is 80mm diameter, 350mm long) fire extinguisher in my shop did not have any kind of bracket or hanger for wall mounting, so I made this one.Unlike some other 3D printed hangers which have bottom support, this hanger instead uses a “belt” (printed from TPU flexible filament) to hold the extinguisher in place. This print could probably be scaled to fit other sizes of extinguishers, although it is probably not suitable for larger and heavier units.Use InstructionsAssemble the bracket by inserting the two hooks as shown in the photos. Note that the shorter hook goes on the left (as you face the opening of the bracket). The hooks will be a tight fit.Screw the bracket to the wall using a pan head screw (diameter 4.75mm or 3/16").IMPORTANT : The plastic bracket and belt are slippery, so it is necessary to add some additional “stickiness” to the bracket. Simply make a small loop of tape with the adhesive on the outside of the loop, and stick it to the bracket before adding the extinguisher. You will see in the photos where I used blue painters tape for this.To mount the extinguisher, loop the “single eye” end of the belt on the small left hook. While holding the extinguisher against the bracket, loop the belt around the tank and hook the “second eye” (see photos) on the right hand hook (you will need to stretch the belt a bit), and pull the belt fully onto the hook.Make sure the tank is now held firmly and does not slip in the holder.Using the extinguisher :  If you ever need to use the extinguisher, simply hold the tank in your left hand and pull the belt loose with your right hand.  Print InstructionsI used a textured build plate for all the prints.Print the bracket and hooks in PETG using the 3mf or gcode files provided.
