Fire Extinguisher Bracket

Fire Extinguisher Bracket

thingiverse

This fire extinguisher bracket is specifically designed for mounting the extinguisher to the top of my vehicle emergency kit, eliminating the need for any vehicle modifications. Other methods typically require drilling and installing bolts into the vehicle itself, but this design allows the extinguisher to be easily removed from the bag and taken to whatever vehicle it's needed in. The bracket enables a secure snap-fit, preventing the extinguisher neck from dismounting without deliberate effort. Weight-saving circles are strategically incorporated throughout the design. A distinctive 1* symbol is prominently featured, originating from military and first responder patches as a reminder to exercise caution when risking one's safety. It's essential to remember that even trained individuals have no obligation to fight fires, and the phrase printed on the bracket serves as a poignant reminder to conduct a thorough situational assessment before attempting to extinguish a fire with a 2.5-pound extinguisher. Notably, I discovered that orienting the extinguisher gauge facing downwards could protect it from damage caused by impacts. However, I initially designed the bracket with the gauge side up, which provides additional security. Depending on your mounting preferences, you may need to reverse my design to have the gauge face down and secure the handle within the bracket. As a precautionary measure, I advise placing this bag/extinguisher/bracket combination in the trunk to prevent any potential loose objects from entering the cabin in the event of a collision.
