You don't need to simulate anything, just load your VDB data and you're done, ready to render! You can scale or rotate it to fit your scene. 3ds Max and Maya files are included with the VDB data loaded using VolumeGrid from VRay. All shading and lighting is already done. If you use other software or a render engine, just load and set up the shading. Density and temperature field are all you need to tweak smoke and fire. The VDB file contains 100 frames of smoke and 50 frames of temperature field, making it less heavy and faster to work with. You can also easily tweak the look by changing density, color, and shadows.
