Fire 7 Tablet Stand
thingiverse
A simple stand to hold the Amazon Fire 7 tablet. History on why I created this: I print exclusively with an OctoPi setup, featuring OctoPrint running on a Raspberry Pi. The convenience of remotely monitoring and starting print jobs from another room is unbeatable. However, I encountered significant issues when working at my printer - no local interface was available to stop failed jobs or initiate new ones after removing the old one from the bed. To resolve this issue, I decided to add a touch interface to my printer. The solution involved acquiring an Amazon Fire 7 tablet for $35 and loading it with a Chrome browser pointing to my OctoPrint instance. This stand was created to hold the tablet near my printer, providing me with a dedicated touch screen interface. This case prints in three parts: the base, an arm that snaps into the base, and a holder which snaps around the tablet before securing onto the top of the arm. The "Full Assembly" file demonstrates how all components assemble together. Print Settings: Printer: Reach3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25%
