Fire 7 Tablet Case
thingiverse
This is a case tailored specifically for the Amazon Fire 7" Tablet. It was designed around this particular tablet, making it unlikely to be compatible with any other tablets. The Fire 7" tablet is an extremely affordable tablet, normally selling for about $50, but sometimes available as low as $30 on sale. As such, it makes a fantastic in-car entertainment device for your kids. I wanted to create a versatile case for my kids' tablets. This case comes in three parts for easy printing. (Left, Middle, and Right sections). The middle section is optional, and can be used with just the left and right sections. Some of the features of this case include: Grips on the sides to provide a comfortable hold when watching movies or playing games in landscape mode. Grips also serve as a kickstand, allowing the tablet to stand up on a flat surface. Mounts to the back of a car headrest for easy in-car entertainment. An optional carrying handle is provided to help little ones from dropping their tablets. About the mounting brackets for adjustable headrests: These brackets are designed specifically for two-post, adjustable headrests. To use these headrest mounts, you simply pull up your headrest and slip on the headrest brackets. Then snap on the swivel clips at the end of each bracket. Next, these clips push into the slots on either side of the grips on the tablet case. I've included two types of brackets: a solid one to use if you can completely remove your headrest, and a split one that can be snapped around the headrest posts if it's not removable. The brackets are universal, but the swivel clips are specific for left vs right. There is also an optional carrying handle. This handle snaps into the same slots as the headrest mounts, and can be easily removed when not needed. I've included both a full handle and a split version, which should be glued together once printed. The split version is for smaller prints that cannot accommodate the full handle. (The split one has a peg that slides into a slot on its mate. This peg will probably need support when printing.) Print Settings: Printer: Reach3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 25%
