Fios Modem/Router Shelf

Fios Modem/Router Shelf

thingiverse

This is a 200mm wide by 90mm deep shelf designed to securely hold a Fios modem/router against the wall. I haven't personally tested it yet, as I'm currently out of filament and waiting for a new spool to arrive. The screw holes on the mounting portion have a 4mm radius opening that gradually decreases to a 2.5mm radius at the bottom, featuring a cambered edge that is 3mm thick. This design should provide more than sufficient support for the lightweight Fios modem or any small item that can fit comfortably on this shelf. This is version 1.0 of the design, and I haven't had a chance to test it yet myself. However, I do have a spool of filament on its way, and I plan to print out this design shortly. Feel free to test it at your own risk. The shelf itself measures 5mm in thickness, while the triangular support is a sturdy 10mm wide. UPDATE: A honeycomb design has been incorporated into the shelf to conserve material while maintaining structural integrity. UPDATE: On August 9, 2017, version 2.0 of the shelf was created, featuring two additional support beams with wider supports to accommodate wider screws.
