The EggBot printing process requires three essential software pieces. Firstly, you need Arduino Firmware which can be downloaded from this link: https://github.com/FinucaneDesignLLC/SphereBot/tree/Arduino1.01. It has been updated to match steps with px. Secondly, you require Inkscape Gcode Exporter that exports gcode in px format. This can be downloaded from here: https://github.com/FinucaneDesignLLC/inkscape-unicorn. Make sure your document is set to 800px high x 1600px wide for optimal results. Lastly, you need Feeder.py which is used along with Python. For the non-printed parts, you'll need a Stepper 1.8 degree motor (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9238), a Stepper 0.9 degree motor (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10846), two Stepper Drivers (http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1201), a Breadboard (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/137), an Arduino Uno (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11021), a Hobby servo (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=30703), a power supply for the steppers (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9442), and a Powerjack (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/119). For wiring, you can use something like this (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/124). For the hardware components, you'll need a 36" 5/16 (or 8mm) threaded rod, around 25 5/16 (or 8mm) nuts, eight 5/16 (or 8mm) lock washers, eight 3mm x 10mm cap screws, eight 3mm x 20mm cap screws, eight 3mm nuts, four 4mm x 20mm cap screws, four 4mm x 15mm cap screws, nine 4mm nuts, two bearings (Search Amazon for VXB 608 ZZ Skateboard Bearings), and Sharpie pens (Search Amazon for Sharpie Ultra-Fine-Point Permanent Markers, 24-Pack Colored Markers (32893)).
