Fins3

Fins3

This is an enhanced version of Fins2: Fins2 has been modified to be slightly larger and feature a distinct overall shape. The primary difference lies in the fins, which boast a cross-shaped cross section that's double twisted instead of simply vertical. This design makes the part easier to print since the intersecting fins provide added structural rigidity. This lamp is designed to accommodate any one of several LED lights known as "puck" lights. You can opt for either battery-powered or wall-powered models. For information on suitable wall-powered lights, check out this blog post: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/wall-powered-led-lights/. To learn more about my double twist method, visit this blog page: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/do-the-twist2/. Due to the reasons explained in the description of Fins2, printing this part requires a significant amount of time - approximately 46.5 hours using a print speed of 80 mm/sec and a layer height of 0.200 mm.
