This bracket is specifically designed to support a Finnex Fugeray LED Aquarium light (https://amzn.to/2JthAbS). The standard bracket provided with the light only accommodates vertical edges, which can be a limitation for some hex tanks and hood inserts that feature horizontal edges. To provide added stability, this bracket can be secured with two short M3 bolts, although in practice, they may not always be necessary once everything is properly aligned.
