This spirited youngster has a tendency to let out enthusiastic exclamations, including "Mathematical!" and "Algebraic!", showcasing his energetic personality. Finn's humble beginnings began as an orphan, but fortunately for him, he was taken in by Jake's parents, Joshua and Margaret, whose love and care played a significant role in shaping the adventurous soul that Finn has become. Throughout his life, Finn has defined himself as a true hero, constantly on the lookout for someone or something in need of help. As evidenced by the fact that he would readily put himself at risk without hesitation to defend others, it is no secret that Finn lives and breathes adventure. Regrettably, his overabundance of energy often proves to be a hindrance when faced with tasks that demand a bit more finesse. Finn's initial unrequited infatuation with Princess Bubblegum was eventually replaced by a romantic relationship with Flame Princess which persisted until the events in "Frost & Fire" came about. In "Billy's Bucket List", Finn discovered some groundbreaking information about his own past when it turned out that his real father, Martin, is indeed alive. What's more, he is imprisoned within a realm known as the Citadel – a maximum-security facility reserved for those individuals from various dimensions who are deemed the most notorious of all. As fate would have it, Finn and Jake along with the infamous Lich accidentally caused the escape of Martin. To everyone's surprise, however, Martin proved to be an ordinary petty criminal in contrast to the legendary status that Finn initially envisioned him to hold. Unfortunately for Finn, this realization ultimately led to the amputation of one of his arms – only to be subsequently recovered later in "Breezy". Just when it seemed like things couldn't get any more turbulent for Finn, a mystical curse was unleashed once again towards the conclusion of season six with the finale, "The Comet". Here, it was discovered that Finn and the Comet Catalyst share an inseparable bond that defies the understanding of time itself.
