Finishing Torture Test

We used MatterHackers PRO Series PLA to test human capabilities. To demonstrate the advantages and drawbacks of each finishing technique for PLA, we created a "Finishing Torture Test" model. This simple cube has sharp corners on its exterior surface and interior hole, along chamfers, and pyramid edges. It also features round faces, fillets, and a cylinder. These characteristics were chosen to illustrate common features found in various 3D models and show how some can be lost or diminished. For PLA filament, finishing methods involve continuously adding and subtracting different materials until the desired smoothness is achieved. Download this test model and evaluate your skills!
