Finis Snorkel Air Limiter Cap
thingiverse
Competitive swimmers who use Finis Snorkels require an air limiting cap to control their airflow while swimming with a snorkel. Instead of purchasing hard plastic caps or taping off the top of their snorkels, many athletes opt for a different solution. To create the ideal air limiting cap, it is best to print it in flexible plastic like NinjaFlex. This design should fit most standard snorkels without requiring any adjustments. However, if you choose to print with PLA or ABS instead, you may need to scale the model slightly for a proper fit. **Instructions for Printing:** To produce high-quality prints of this air limiting cap, follow these steps: 1. Print it upright, ensuring that the top section is at an optimal angle. 2. Use a Makerbot Replicator 2 printer with NinjaFlex filament set to: * Print Speed - 45mm/s * Temp - 230C * Perimeters - 3 * Infill - 100% To obtain the best results, try printing this design upright. The top portion is angled and should print correctly. You can achieve excellent results by using a Makerbot Replicator 2 printer with NinjaFlex and the following settings: Print Speed - 45mm/s Temp - 230C Perimeters - 3 Infill - 100%. We are also working on updating designs to better fit PLA/ABS filaments, which will be uploaded soon.
