Finial Lugbúrz (for PVC Halloween Fence)
thingiverse
This is a distinctive finial for Halloween fences crafted from PVC pipe, boasting an original design. This particular model comes in two- and four-fin versions. Be aware that the connection between the sphere and the rest of the finial is fragile, especially when scaled down to smaller sizes. If you want to reinforce it, try drilling a small hole through the center of the base into the sphere and inserting a stiff piece of metal wire or rod (similar to clothes hanger wire or servo linkage). You'll need to be precise with this step. In future versions, I may incorporate this feature into the model. Due to potential scaling issues, it might not meet your diameter requirements, but you can use it as a pilot hole if needed. If you're a fan of Tolkien's works, you may already know that in the Black Speech of Mordor, Lugbúrz is the name given to Sauron's tower (the one with the Eye of Sauron at its peak), also known by its Sindarin name, Barad-dûr. I named this finial after it because it reminded me of the design when I printed it out, but it wasn't actually inspired by Tolkien. Instead, it originated as a variation on a sketch for another finial that I'm still working on. For detailed instructions, see below, especially note the "Scaling to other pipe sizes" section since you'll need to adjust this according to the pipe size you're using. I have a collection of Halloween items where my other finial designs are posted as they get completed. Make sure to Follow me or Watch the collection for updates on new additions.
